John Armour, CPA is nationally recognized as a leading authority and expert in construction accounting and taxation. His practice focus includes corporate board of director positions, strategic business, tax and financial advice as well as being a technical resource to CPA firms for accounting and tax issues.
John is a co-founding member of CFMA’s Colorado Chapter and an honorary board member. He received the CFMA Chairman’s Award at the 2015 CFMA National Conference. He has served on various committees and advisory capacities including leadership of accounting and tax policy on AGC of America’s Financial Issues Committee. In this capacity beginning in 2005, he worked closely with the FASB on developing its Revenue Recognition standard. In 2013, he was appointed to the 19-member FASB IASB Revenue Recognition Transition Resource Group and the AICPA’s Engineering & Construction Revenue Recognition Working Group.
John’s CPA practice is limited to advisory services to construction entities regarding business strategy and continuity, resolution of accounting and tax issues, advisory boards, and technical advisory services to CPA firms.
