Betsy Zietlow 

Betsy is the Senior Accountant at Clark Construction and has worked in the construction industry for 39 years this year and has done just about all aspects of construction accounting including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract billings, financial statements, budgets; you name it.  She has the task of doing contractor prequalification financial reviews, reviewing and processing subcontractor billings, sworn statements, and waivers and compiling them for monthly owner billing applications. She reviews, updates, and maintains project budgets as well as issues and tracks contracts and change orders and project compliance. She has had the pleasure of working with many great owners, financial institutions, and contractors on cash flow and project management. She prides herself in being very detail oriented and providing a resource for editing and checking documents before they are presented.  She has also had the honor to work with a local school PTO, school Booster program, and her local church on financial management and investments. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs, golfing, and being at the lake with her family and friends.

 

Julie Smith

Julie Smith is the current CFMA Lansing Chapter President and is currently a member of the Executive Management Team and acting the Project and Risk Management Director of Recon Corporation.   Julie has over 27 years of construction experience, currently focusing on corporate policy management, contract negotiation,  risk and project management oversight.     Julie has significant knowledge and experience with lien law in various states; including the practical use of sworn statements and lien waivers in both residential and commercial project use, construction draw compliance review at the title insurance level,  and presenting at educational events to encourage familiarity with sworn statement and lien waiver purpose and use.

 

Danielle Wood 

Dani oversees the accounting and human resource departments at Mann Construction, a commercial general contractor. She has eight years of experience split between her family’s business and public accounting. At Mann Construction Dani reviews all draw requests/applications for payment, including sworn statements and lien waivers. Dani holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Saginaw Valley State University and has been licensed as a CPA since 2016.
