Ethan Stambler
SES ESOP Strategies
Ethan advises company owners, founders, management teams and other stakeholders on developing and implementing business ownership transitions, with a particular focus on ESOP transactions. He has a depth of knowledge in identifying and facilitating the introduction of employee ownership strategies via ESOP transactions that enable mutually beneficial financial, strategic and organizational outcomes.
In supporting business owners and their trusted advisors on succession planning, Ethan leverages SES ESOP Strategies’ multi-disciplinary team with decades of experience implementing and advising on over 1,000 ESOP transactions. This experience includes the implementation of ESOPs for several leading construction related firms here in the Triangle over recent years.
Ethan brings to his work more than two decades of experience spanning financial, strategic and operational roles across diverse sectors. He has extensive experience developing business strategies and solutions to achieve the objectives of asset managers, investment owners and their stakeholders. This work has spanned a wide range of investment strategies and structures across private equity, private credit, real estate and real asset markets.
Prior to joining SES ESOP Strategies, Ethan held senior positions with International Farming Corporation (an agriculture-focused private equity firm) and PineBridge Investments. Earlier in his career, he held roles in investment banking with Merrill Lynch, strategy consulting with McKinsey & Co. and private equity with Advent International.
Ethan received his B.A. in Economics and MBA in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern University. In addition, he successfully achieved the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) credential from the Exit Planning Institute.
